Beth El Hebrew Congregation
Harold Mintz, wanted to “make a difference” and he succeeded admirably in
achieving that goal. Seventeen years ago, Mr. Mintz saved Gennet Belay’s life
by donating one of his kidneys to her. The kidney recipient, a total stranger
from Ethiopia unknown to Mr. Mintz at the time of the transplant, had been on
a waiting list for a kidney transplant for more than a decade. It was a life
altering experience for both the donor and the recipient.
Beth El Hebrew congregation at 3830 Seminary Road in Alexandria announced that Mr. Mintz, will be a keynote speaker at Beth El on Sunday, October B at 10:00 am. He will be joined by Ms. Belay and her husband. It is a free event with refreshments.
