Watzman is an American-born, Jerusalem-based writer, journalist, and translator. He is well- known for his English translations of recent works by Hebrew-language authors, including Tom Segev, Amos Oz and David Grossman. He will talk with Professor Lauren B. Strauss about his translation work, as well as his own writing, most notably “Necessary Stories”, a new collection of his short fiction.
Lauren B. Strauss teaches modern Jewish history and literature in AU’s Jewish Studies Program.
“Necessary Stories” will be for sale and signing at a dessert reception after the event
