The Jewish Plays Project puts bold, progressive Jewish conversations on world stages. Twenty-two Northern Virginia readers read the JPP’s Top 10 plays; three plays were chosen for a public event on March 13. Using local professional actors, David Winitsky, Artistic Director of the JPP, will direct a 20-minute scene from each of the three plays. At the end of the evening, the audience will vote for what they think is the best new Jewish play of 2016! The three plays chosen by the Northern Virginia readers are: Redder Blood by Helen Murray Pafumi (Sterling, VA); The Son of the Last Jew by Yoav Michaeli (Beer-Sheva, Israel); and Treif by Lindsay Joelle (New York, NY).
