Rachel Schlesinger Concert Hall

The award-winning Medical Musical Group (MMG), a nonprofit, is creating the upcoming musical extravaganza to honor veterans and to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the end of the WWII on August 13 at the Schlesinger Hall in Alexandria.

Tony Lo Bianco, who starred in the Academy Award winning film, The French Connection, and Deana Martin, a singer and the daugher of Dean Martin, will be peforming in the concert, along with Dr. Victor Wahby, Dr. Maestro, who is the founder and conductor for MMG.

The event will honor veterans and will include a wide array of events as noted below:

*Thrilling nostalgia of the Godfather Theme and Godfather Waltz.
*Johann Strauss’ Emperor Waltz – Queen Victoria danced until 3 am, as the orchestra first played it in London.
*Try and resist clapping loud and clear, as the orchestra plays the famous “Kalinka”.
*Tony Lo Bianco delivers his signature reading of “Just a Common Soldier”.
*And, of course, Ludwig – as in van Beethoven! The orchestra plays excerpts from his magnificent 5th Symphony.
*Plus our riveting Iwo Jima Flag Raising Reenactment, MIA-POW Vacant Chair Dramatization, Stars and Stripes “Battle of the Sexes” Singalong, and much more!
*Major General Irene Trowell-Harris, R.N. Ed.D., USAF Ret. calls the services during the Armed Forces Medley.
*To cap it all, Deana Martin sings “Everybody Loves Somebody”, “That’s Amore” and other favorites of her iconic father Dean, on the 100th anniversary of his birth.

The world-renowned Medical Musical Group (MMG) is directed by its dynamic founder “Dr. Maestro” Victor Wahby, MD.

The entire feast is hosted by award winning screen actor Tony Lo Bianco, best known as Sal Boca in The French Connection. Tony’s co-host is Hilary Fordwich, former host of Government Contract Weekly on CBS and commentator on Capital Gold Weekly on ABC.

The concert begins at 4pm, with a pre-concert at 3pm.
